DA - SE-1440 receiver

SE-1440A

"Late in 1918, the SE 1440A receiver became available. It was especially designed by the Washington Navy Yard for use with direction finders and integrally contained three stages of audio frequency amplification. It was fitted with a "compass receiver" switch that permitted instant connection to the compass coil or to an ordinary antenna. Together with a 515A coil system and an SE 1762 compensating condenser, it became the model DA shore direction finder. The shipboard installations SE 74 and SE 995 were basically improved by refitting them with the SE 1440A receiver and a newly designed coil, SE 1512. These equipments were much simpler in operation and maintenance and were more accurate." (Howeth)

DAK Loop Antenna CFT-69089		spec sheet Loop Assembly Type -69089 is a shielded balanced type consisting of two crossed loops at right angles to each other. Each loop consists of 5 turns of insulated, stranded, tinned copper wire. A bakelite assembly holds each winding in place inside an electrostatic shielding of 3 -inch aluminum tubing. The two loops are insulated from each other and are electrically matched. The loops are mounted on top of a cast aluminum base.	DAK Connector Box CFT-62138
DAK Sense Antenna CFT-66093		spec sheet Antenna Assembly Type-66093 is a 25-foot vertical whip antenna. The whip consists of three stainless steel sections mounted on a cast aluminum base. An insulator supports the whip 3-foot from the base. In the base of the sense antenna a "dummy loop", consisting of an electrostatically shielded RF transformer and condenser, reflects the electrical constants of the loop antenna to the transmission line,
