#7 1965 August - 12 Hour Enduro ???? - Did it really happen ? The Spring 1965 program talked about this but I don't think it ever came off.
#6 (October 1963) Who took the Danville Holiday Inn's Eagle? "We would like your help regarding an incident at our Inn Saturday night, October 26. Some of your men were playing on our roof and we asked them to get down. During the night our weather vane, a gold eagle, was taken from the roof. Since the loss represents $200.00 in money value, we would appreciate your checking with this group to find out if they know anything about it. I am sure if it was misplaced it was done in fun.

#3 VIR Racing Schools - When did the Jim Fitzgerald driving school start at VIR ? Was there any relationship between this and the Richard Hudgins-Craig Pelouze school ? Did the Hudgins-Pelouze school occur after the track was closed in 1974?
A: Craig Pelouze says the Hudgins-Pelouze school never happened.
A: from Art Shinn - "I attended the school in 1973 with Richard Hudgins. Shortly after Richard turned over the school to Carl White. It was a very ugly financial ending for Carl White. Jim Fitzgerald lent his name but I don't think he participated much. I think Richard was gone in 74."
#2 VIR after 1974 - One recent magazine article said that VIR was used for kart races after 1974 (until 1980). Can anyone confirm this? Were there other events after 1974. Was it just motorcycles and sports cars that were banned? I have also heard that the track was used for a driving school after 1974 ?
# 1 From Roger Blanchard - "Rasey Feezel's Alfa driveshaft broke at the end of the backstraight. I was working there at the flag station. Your communications was a headset and a separate mike that was attached around your neck and had about a 20 foot cord to a connection box on a phone pole. Rasey's driveshaft broke at the front of the car so when it fell down and dug in it vaulted the rear of the car up in the air over and over at 100 plus mph. So here this sucker comes. Right through our flag station, over the blanket and through the chairs, and I am setting a new sprint record until that 20 foot communications line about takes my head off in mid-stride. Ahh, the adventures of youth."
When did this happen ?
ANSWER - Steve Tye pointed out this event is mentioned in Bill King's July 1964 Competition Press article.

Don't worry - I am sure I'll be digging up some more puzzlers! I have lots of photos without a date or other ID.
